Why Motivation?
Motivation Matters Survey, 2009 showed 95% of companies believed motivation to be ‘Very important’ or ‘Critical’ to performance...
BUT 60% don’t measure it (half of these admitting that they don’t know how). The remaining 40% tended to favour company wide Employee Satisfaction Surveys.*
A Watson Wyatt survey of 115 companies (2006, 2008) showed that a company with “highly engaged employees typically achieves a financial performance 4 times greater than a company with poor employee attitudes.”
Motivations and attitudes determine what we pay attention to in our experience. This focus then influences our behaviour and communication patterns, which in turn drive our results.
Motivations and attitudes in the workplace are like the strings of a puppet and are the invisible forces that ‘pull’ people in different directions and ultimately influence how they are likely to apply their skills and capabilities.
We want you to be able to work with the ‘will’ that drives the ‘skill’.
By measuring and mapping motivation, we can help you unlock the motivational code for improving engagement, productivity and performance in your workplace.
Attitude and Motivation is the critical component that:
-
Accounts for 40-60% of performance
-
Often operates at a below conscious level
-
Managers and HR do not usually assess
-
Is correlated with your current peak performers, and
- Ultimately allows you to build a competitive advantage through targeted and strategic HR practices.
